Lowbrow Art

New Brow, the first film from Humble Pictures, is a documentary feature film focusing on the rising popularity of underground art, the artists, and its integration into pop culture.
Today I spoke with an old college friend, Mark Rhode, and asked him if he still made art. He gifted me once with this amazing tiki mask drawing done with crayola, and I thought it was aweome, really colorful and not many people use crayons. Turns out he was, his description of it was Tropical Pop. Right on. I really like that and it was an excellent reminder that there is no limitation on what art is, if it calls to you and you respond, then it is. Check out the great documentary by Humble Pictures if you get the chance.
